About Me : About Me

I started sketching when I was 3, only I would rather call it scribbling for I don't believe those images resembled anything human. That got squished, stretched and distorted resulted in my math's text book having more images than actual numbers. I also read somewhere that artist's and doctors have the worst legible handwriting, I didn't take science so that left me with only one option.

So I studied art, Surreal, Abstract, Dada, Art Nouveau, Cubism, Expressionism, Fauvism, Futurism, Pop art and Renaissance. I fiddled a lot with materials too, like clay, pastels, charcoal, oil and water based paints. Honestly I really just preferred using my trusty clutch pencil and black pen though. I enjoyed each of the movements and their achievements but that wasn't what I wanted to do.

So I bought myself a guitar and thought of becoming a rock star. It's fair to say I didn't become the next Hendrix, but thanks to the experience of playing in a few bands I now compose music for my animation.

Next was programming, java and html. But, that was a little too much like math's and I ending up again with more images than text. However I did find what I truly wanted to do, and this from a program translated by an infamous Russian. RPG Maker was like a dream come true and I spent a few years mucking on it before I actually released something.

INSIGNIA was born out of a single stupid reason. I was given a challenge. Yeah, to make a stealth game using RPG Maker. This sounds bizarre as RPG stands of Role Playing Game. Yet from my insanity I created the game, and it was indeed a stealth game.

This is when I started to think of a full career in games design and that is how I got into 3D. Since pixel games are now prehistoric.

Now I spend my days working in 3DS Max and debating the never-ending war between Paintshop and Photoshop, which I both use and can't decide which is better. I also moved onto a different game engine for INSIGNIA called Game maker.
